AIP when don’t meet critera

Hi all just looking for some advice/reassurance.
My broker has secured us a AIP with Barclays however I am unsure we meet criteria which states
‘Cumulative amount of arrears at any point in the last 2 years of 3 or more monthly payments on any one account, ie 3‘
in March last year a mail order account (very) reached 3 missed payments, which is obviously inside the 2 year period.

I do have full trust in my broker, he secured a mortgage for us last year when no one else would even touch us. Unfortunately the house sale fell through. Just very confused as like mentioned we seem to be outside their criteria.
TIA

Was it a provisional accept as that's the usual outcome for a borderline case? Is it possible the account conduct is visible only on a CRA record not sourced by Barclays?I am a mortgage broker. @kingstreet thanks for your reply. I’m not sure what grounds it was given on, I assumed they may have a separate criteria not published and it was done case by case basis. The missed payment is shown on all 3 CRAs so they must be aware.
thanks again0 -
TBH I wouldn't have put it to Barclays for the reasons you state - credit issues in the latest two years. There are plenty of others who will do it, so Barclays may not be the final lender when you get to application stage.I am a mortgage broker. don't want to scare you,our AIP was pushed through, brokers put incorrect dates just to get it accepted, but on a full application we've got declined, as criteria wasn't met.1
