Morning All
Looks gloomy outside, washing can stay on the pulley today. Thankfully no snow but it's still very cold.
I didn't have the best sleep and woke up at 5.30 which is ok on a school day but not at the weekend! Need to go shopping this morning, DD and I are going to the spa this afternoon for some chill time while the little one goes to an activity class, really looking forward to it.
Visited my pal after work yesterday and filled her in on all the goings on, her knee is slowly getting better but she won't be back at work for a while yet. I was late leaving work as there was a child who wasn't picked up until 4pm, strange goings on in that house I fear.
Our Janitor at work got locked out yesterday - best laugh I've had all week, sadly my laughter wasn't well received! How on earth does the Janny who holds all the keys get locked out?
Hope everyone is ok and you have a good weekend. Take care. XX

Morning folks.flying visit on my phone. Sausage fingers alert!
We've never had snow thaw as much thanks to higher ground temps they say. There's still a cover on the gardens which should soon be gone.
Off on first bus into town for odd bits. Hope the spa goers have a good day. Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"8 -
Now I'm much less sleepy and snug. Morning all.Yesterday I didn't go out so slobbed around the house. First thing had my normal Friday chat with an old friend and SIL in Australia, one in QLD and the other in Victoria so three different time zones. In the afternoon I did a bit of cooking. I had found a recipe for orange and maple syrup glazed chicken thighs with beetroot and carrots. As I didn't have either oranges or maple syrup I substituted lemons and honey. Now I'm not too happy with the flavours 😂 so will convert the veggies into a soup, pick the flesh off and make chicken and sweetcorn mayo for lunch rolls. Waste not and all that.Later on I'm going to listen to a talk being given by an old friend, it's on a 12th century Gaelic lord. I'm looking forward to a lively and interesting afternoon.@Chrisca - three friends of mine are travelling from Newcastle to Edinburgh for the Scotland v France match. The weather is forecasted to be horrendous, I'm happy to record it. Brrr.
@Iris - and the same good weekend to you too.I wish all our poorlies a good day. No rushing around!9 -

Morning all. The sun's shining here but the meadow is completely flooded, so I can't walk into town that way, plus one road at the other end of town has been closed either end due to flood water.
We had a great evening in Towersey last night but, coming home on one of the smaller roads, had to turn round as it was flooded ahead, under a bridge, and we could see one car from earlier had been abandoned in the water.
Today will be rest and recovery; I might make a lemon cake plus there's a butternut squash to use use up, so will probably roast it in the oven and have with soft cheese.
Hope everyone's day goes well.9 -
I didn’t get chance to post yesterday but did work and blood donation and then crashed out!Today will be dog walking and general faffing - got a woolly head so can’t think of much more

Morning all
New DW day 😃😃 it arrived at 7.50 this morning luckily OH was up so he helped get it in, he is currently fitting it so hopefully soon we can do a test run !
Not bad weather here today at least it’s not raining, I have a wash on the go so may get to hang it out for a while, once OH has finished we can have a good tidy through.
Dinner tonight will be burger in a bun with chips nice and easy but delicious.
OH will take little dog out for a good long walk but big pup will have a short lead one again, Taff she has ongoing problems with her back leg she goes mad running and jumping when off the lead and then can’t move for a few days, we are going to lead walk only for two weeks and see if that helps 🤞
Have good days all and take care xx8
