Morning All
Cold this morning with a hard white frost - the car will need de-icing. The frost took me by surprise yesterday with the frozen rain on the car windscreen which took me ages to scrape. The forecast snow didn't materialise.
More drama at work, a member of staff was escorted off the premises, I really need to be more nosy so I know what went on! All I do know is that it wasn't anything involving any children. Thankfully the children were all very calm.
Glad you managed to meet up with your chum TA.
Hope you have your car back and it's all fixed Ruby.
That's a lot of dental work WL.
What a drama Chrisca, good you were there to help.
Hope you've had a better night Nanny.
Right, off to the shower then the madhouse! Take care. XX

Hope all of you expecting snow stay safe.Going to do some gentle housework this morning and not alot more unless I get a burst of energy later!@camelot1001 what a lively week you're having. Morning folks and thanks NMLC. By heck it's parky this morning. They are still forecasting snow but it has yet to arrive. CAMELOT have a better day today, I hope you are all on danger money, it doesn't sound the safest place to work. You do right not getting involved in the gossip and then you can't be dragged into the arguments.
Not much to report today. Yesterday was mostly a day of sloth so today I must do better! I had a much better sleep last night than the night before when I barely slept a wink. And I feel better for it.
Have a good day folks if you can. ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, fed up and sleepless. Take care all and be safe if you are due the white stuff. xx ps IZZY I keep meaning to ask - has your "lovely" boss's wife found a replacement for you yet?

Cold and frosty here too. Not too inviting. The new cleaner was good. He did excellent work downstairs as I watched TV upstairs. I had to dissuade him from using aerosol polish as the smell triggers sinusitis so used a damp duster instead. I had taken the opportunity to clear out some clutter in the kitchen, things which had been put down rather than put away over the weeks without a cleaner. This morning is my nail appointment, I mistakenly made it for the same time as the pool class and then couldn't change it which is slightly annoying, all my fault.I hope that everyone has a calm and incident free day, especially @Camelot, and can stay safe and warm.11

Thanks for the start NMLC
Earlier this week we had a yellow warning for snow today - then it changed and we are left with torrential rain…..would prefer some of the white stuff tbh!
Izzy Hope your little dog is feeling better - we’re off to the vet again as B-dog’s eyes are no better at all - he doesn’t seem that bothered but looks so sad as they are barely open - his new nickname (he has many!) is Squinty McGinty. At my part time job this evening so hope the rain abates a little as I have walk from the car park.
Will see what other tasks I can fit into the day.Stay safe to those with inclement weather!AA12 -
Morning all
Cold and pouring with rain here someone send me some snow as well as Taff please 😃
Off to collect Rob today and take him to work he is in the cafe today so I suspect we will do baking of some sort, he loves cooking so we normally have a good day.
I got my car back yesterday and it works like a dream now, they also washed it for me which saves me a job and they refunded me the £180 they charged me before to investigate the problem when they found nothing so it all worked out ok in the end, I just wish they had sorted it out when I first said there was a problem!
Dinner tonight will be quiche salad and new potatoes, I ate the hot dogs last night with no problems so I am almost sure it’s the oil that’s the problem, I’m going to try roast pork Sunday and hope I am ok.
AA lovely dog ❤️ Ours have lots of nicknames too 😂😂
Take care anyone who has snow.
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Morning all; raining here, better than snow!
Crumbs Camelot; it's all happening at your school! Hope things calm down a bit for you soon.
Today I'm off to have my hair cut and then a couple of friends are calling in for lunch, seeing as they're in the area. Oops - I've just had a message to say they won't be coming because of the weather. I had defrosted some rhubarb to make a crumble so DH and I will have to tuck in all by ourselves
Take care everyone.12 -
Aw AA cute doggy. Over the years most of our pets had nicknames. Growing up our cat ended up as Doris Wormald. The worm bit 'cos she got worms but no idea where Doris came from!! The cat that came with me when we got married was originally Topsy but my DB said she looked like the snail Brian from Magic Roundabout so she was forever after called Brian.
ps the snow has now caught up with us but so far it's only very light. I can live with that!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning everyone
Cold and frosty here but no snow yet.
I stewarded at our local cinema yesterday - for Poor Things. It was an excellent film and I really enjoyed it, though it was as eldest DD had warned me ' quite rude'!
Before I went there I had a look in Boots to see if there was anything left in their 70% off sale - there wasn't a great deal but I managed to buy for 4 birthdays and a couple of bits to go away for little ones Christmas stocking. I spent £22 and 'saved' £58 so I was very pleased. Mind some of the items' prices before Christmas were ridiculous really. I had a quick look in one of our charity shops after the film and got a new jigsaw for little one for £2. Some of her easier ones have 'disappeared' down to nursery - she's up to 40 or 50 piece ones now.
I've some banking to do this morning and yesterdays shopping to put away, then work at lunchtime. I fancy a fry-up for tea tonight.
Hope everyone has a good day. Take care if you have snow x10 -
Morning all, it's been bucketing down all night and is still going. My cake yesterday was a success, I decided to use a new silicone cake pan in the air fryer and it worked a charm. I was going to cover the cake with chocolate today but we just had to try a slice or two, quality control and all that, so now I'm not going to bother covering the half cake that's left 😂
Not sure what I'll do today, the DW will need emptying and maybe then a potter about, if it gets a bit brighter this afternoon I'll do my jigsaw. There's some bol sauce left so I'll finish it off on a jacket potato, himself will probably choose something else for tea tonight.
dp1 little one will soon be on 1000/2000 jigsaws, perhaps next year !
Camelot maybe it's better to be oblivious to what's going. I hope you can get a quiet day today.
Redruby glad your car is ok now.
Have a good day all
Take care, hugs to anyone in need.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently7
