Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, dry underfoot, bit windy, rain/snow forecast on Thursday.
Dinner last night was LO beef braised in gravy, LO mash, yorkshires and veg, lovely it was too. Tonight sausages, chips, fried egg and beans.
Work is half day today and there's a list of jobs to do after work.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Very cold this morning but dry so that's a bonus. We have some snow forecast but we'll see.
Mad day at work yesterday, a couple of pupils lost the plot and we ended up with the police and fire brigade in (no fire but they thought they may have to rescue someone) Hoping for a calmer day today.
Not long to go now Izzy!
Hope your trip to Glasgow was ok Gers, I see the Rest is closed again.
Well done on defrosting the freezer TA, I must do mine sometime.
Hope you're feeling better Chrisca.
Hoping Rob is back in a routine Ruby.
Belated birthday wishes Redcross.
Hope your DD recovers quickly Nanny.
Must visit the library after work today, the books have been in the car since last week!
Take care. XX12 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. My goodness CAMELOT there is never a dull moment in your job! I'm pleased no-one was injured though. The promised weather change has happened and it feels much cooler this morning. But a bright, sunny, but cold day is forecast. Before the snow tomorrow.
Up and at 'em early doors this morning as I have an Ocado delivery due. The e-mail tells me all is p & c.
My lunchtime meet up with DF happened and we had a good old natter, putting the world to rights and off loading our family worries. Then a little treat followed when middle DGD texted mid lunch to check I was out and if so asking if I wanted to meet them both after school for coffee and cake! They were given Costa gift cards from someone at Christmas and wanted to use them up! So a nice coffee and bakewell tart rounded my afternoon off nicely!
No treats in store today and going nowhere so I will try and summon up a bit of enthusiasm and tackle a few jobs.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad, worried or lonely. IZZY these last days are whizzing along nicely! Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning. Chilly so I'm still under my duvet. I've spent the last hour finishing off the end of my audiobook, I really wanted to find out who did what.@Camelot - what a nightmare you're having at school. 😘 The main road of the Rest is closed so traffic is going via the Old Military Road (OMR) under convoy. That probably adds between 10 and 20 minutes to the journey. The OMR is. General Wade road built between 1743 and 1749, of course it's been tarmaced but remains very narrow and windy, lots of extreme tight bends. It's almost lovely to drive right down to the bottom of Glen Croe.Drives both ways were fairly easy, I made my appointment in good time. After doing a bit of shopping and collecting my Boots order I decided to have my car washed, there's nowhere here so it was a treat. This afternoon the new cleaner is coming so I'll do a quick whizz round putting things away. DW needs emptied, lunch is cooked ready to reheat so my day will be more relaxing than yesterday.I hope that our poorlies are taking meds and resting.11

Hope everyone’s day goes well and the change in weather isn’t too snowy and cold. The original snow alert seems to have lifted here.Might venture for a walk by the river, B-dog’s eyes aren’t much better yet so will see how far he wants to go. Then I have the thrill of defluffing the stair carpet 😂.Will check out next week’s weather too as I’d like to get out in the campervan for a few days and see the sea.Take care all

Morning all
Cooler here and we had rain for most of the night. I phoned Robs mum yesterday and she had got him into a better routine thank goodness so I am to go and collect him today as long as I don’t hear from her before 9.30 which is when I leave, she said she would ring if there was a problem so hopefully she won’t ring.
The garage phoned yesterday to say my car is ready so I will go and collect it today with Rob and then do some shopping on the way back.
Dinner tonight will be hot dogs in a bun with a few chips, I think by process of elimination that it is palm oil or Rapeseed oil that’s making me sick, so I will try the hot dogs tonight with none of the above and see what happens.Camelot never a dull day !
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning all. It was pouring with rain yesterday night but all dry here so far.
Camelot: what on earth is going on?! What a disruption for everyone; hope it ended satisfactorily.
DH managed to fix our bin yesterday using the original broken off screw and a large rawlplug so it lives to be filled another day.
We had a trip out to do some geocaching yesterday then had lunch at a small garden centre. We ended up buying some primulas for the garden and then some extra topsoil so they've now been planted out and, of course, were well watered by the rain last night.
My new crown was fitted without any problems, although she had to cut into the temporary one to get it off! I now need root canal treatment to a tooth on the other side followed by, you've guessed it, another crown
Off to do my Larder stint now. Look after yourselves.12 -
Morning all, brighter but much colder today -2. Windscreens needed defrosting. Snow due tomorrowI got a lot of my cardmaking stuff into an old multi drawer filing cabinet that has been relocated upstairs so lots of odd plastic boxes over now. It seems like when you declutter you end up making more mess. I rang a friend in the afternoon for a good old natter but apart from that not much going on.Camelot- wow!TA, nice surprise from DGDs, lovely.Fish for tea tonight, quick to cook after going for DGS. We finished off the chicken last night.Hugs to anyone in need, take care x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11

Hi everyone,
TA, how lovely to have such a good relationship with your DGDs. I hope I have as good a one when my grandchildren are teenagers.
Camelot, I hope things are calmer today.
The family are off to London to see a show and an exhibition if they get themselves organised in time to catch the train.
Have a good day.

Morning allFeeling a bit better today so on the mend! Just had a potter round doing a little bit of housework. Have sat on my bum long enough now!Had a little bit of drama yesterday afternoon when a woman with 3 little 'uns knocked on the door saying she was from a few doors down and was looking after her 3 grandchildren while their mum and dad was away for a few day and could she borrow a stepladder to get over the back gate as they had had a new front door fitted a few days before and she couldn't get it as they key wouldn't work properly. We took it along and she tried to reach over the fence to unlock it and couldn't and was balancing precariously so I stopped her and rang my DH who had gone out for a walk and he came back and sorted the key to the front door out for her with some WD40 and filed off a jagged edge off the key. Phew. All's well that ends well! Hope today will be calmer, also for you @camelot1001, how awful.Take care all x9

Hello all, didn't have a good night but managed to sleep for a few hours this morning, now my head' s full of cotton wool.
I did a bit of cleaning in the kitchen yesterday, the cupboard doors got a wipe down and the white goods, oh go me 😂. I sorted the freezer too, updated the list and also found some bananas so I'll make a banana cake as all the nice things have been eaten because we've been comfort eating. Today I want to crack on with my jigsaw. Tea will be bolognaise, the sauce has been defrosted so I only have to cook some pasta.
Camalot 🤞 fingers crossed for a much calmer day at school today.
Crisca glad you're feeling better.
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.
