DMP and other creditors/insurance etc

I am arranging a DMP and wondered if anyone found other creditors not included in the DMP were affected? Like car /contents insurance and existing mobile phone contracts or upgrading? Thanks

Im.om a DMP with three defaults and I've never had trouble getting car or home insurance. There's no risk for them as they can just cancel the insurance if you miss a payment.

Most insurers only ask about CCJs and bankruptcy however there are a minority who ask about lower level debt issues. As always, just make sure you read the questions/assumptions properly and answer honestly. 

If you have a bad history you may find some insurers won't offer monthly instalments. Technically some may also charge you more due to the perceived increased fraud risk but as always the price is what the price is and you'll never know if its because of your credit history, neighbourhood, claims history for your make/model of car etc etc
