as you are not paying the normal monthly required payments as part of your standard repayment on your debts , eg min on credit card, bank loan agreed monthly payment,

then technically after 2 wrong or missed correct payments you can get a default notice and then the creditors have the right to default you then after.

I have 5 debts and only 4 defaulted  me after 2 years on a dmp

Thanks Stu. Can you ask for a default? We're you able to get the default backdated to the date you missed payments from or did they give it you from after 2years of being on a dmp

Whether the account defaults or not is really immaterial at the moment, you need to be dealing with your creditor unless you can live with a CCJ on your credit file, I don`t know, but if you can`t then time is ticking here.

I asked a debt collection agency who is collecting for one of my credit cards to default me manually back in October, they agreed, but never did so. it is still showing active in my credit file.
even though I don't pay the min payment required and thus in a dmp.

most defaulted me between 3 and 7 months of missing the correct monthly payment when I was a regular customer  and even in a dmp

    Hello

I request your help yet again. Thank you for guiding me through the process, since Feb I have stopped all payments, began putting towards an emergency savings funds and contact from my debtors has gone from borderline harassment to quiet. Until today at least, where I have received the attached. Can you give me guidance to next steps? I was anticipating waiting until the 6 month make to default and then start a DMP with all concerned. Is the letter attached basically a default and now I can negotiate a dmp with them or is it something else?  Any help appreciated. Thanks
    Hi Forum Person,

I’m going through the same and currently on month 1 of missed payments.

i saw you got a LBA quite early on - what actually happened after this? Were you able to arrange a payment plan and avoid a CCJ?

    Thanks
