Lidl - Horse and Motorbike stuff again

Options
On Saturday 18th june they're doing all that horsey stuff again - it's such good value - I wish I had a horse! This is in St Helens but I suppose it'll be in other areas too.
The biker stuff too - same day.

Is that just in your local shop barginunter?

I couldn't see any details on their website, and normally their new special offers start on Mondays and Thursdays? :)

I wouldn't have thought it was just here cos there's a proper printed leaflet about it. They've done other Saturday offers recently.

Just picked up the leaflet and it appears to be nationwide. Leaflet says back due to popular demand and cheaper.

The bike jacket advertised is made by B Square. Sizes M-Xl and is £59.99

For that price i doubt if the jacket is much good appart to wear socially, but have a look and check if its got any armour in it. If it isnt then personally id save my cash and buy one which offers more protection.

Having crashed a fair few motorbikes in my time, incl a massive one at 120mph, i have to say a jacket with solid kevlar protection on the shoulders, elbows and preferably a back protector is worth its weight in gold.

Are there any children's jodphurs available? (we missed out on some for our daughter when they were on offer at Aldi)

I don't suppose anyone could post a list of what horsey stuff is available and prices?

And just as a side note, we got a riding helmet from Aldi but the lady at the stables where our daughter had just started going said as it wasn't marked with the British Standard code it wouldn't comply with her insurance conditions and as such we couldn't use it. Just a cautionary tale in case Lidl are doing helmets.

    Cheers,

    Bubba.

Right oh! I'll have to have a mosey down there tomorrow. :)

There was an article on the helmets from Aldi/Lidl/Netto in the H&H, saying the same thing. The current standard is EN1384. :)
