Dating app in Switzerland

I signed up to a dating app and forgot to cancel after the initial free month. They are chasing me for £180 for an app I did not use after 10 mins.
They are emailing me from Switzerland.
They refuse to accept a monthly plan that is affordable to me....
What can they do? They are threatening legal action......please advise

Which dating app is it? is the £180 for a few months or is it a yearly fee. Do you have the terms and conditions? what do they say.0

What can they do, or what will they do, I would say in both cases, they will send you a lot of emails, as it costs them nothing, but little else will happen.
They would have to come to the UK, and file a case with MCOL, I very much doubt that will happen.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. On an unrelated note, you may have more success with the dating if you last more than 10 minutes.3

For future reference, if signing up for free trials of any sort, best to diarise a few days ahead of the trial ending to ensure that you cancel. It’s very easy for it to slip your mind otherwise, and as you’ve discovered, that can be a pricey error!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
