Do you mean how much extra pension will you not be accruing in that one year?

Or will you also be taking your accrued pension one year early as well?

Hi thanks for getting back - yes taking my accrued pension one year early hopefully, just wondered how much I would lose by not staying the course

  • It''s no doubt slightly more complicated than this if you have rule of 85 protection but you typically lose in two ways and gain in one.

    1.  You won't accrue any additional pension for that final year.

    2.  The pension you have accrued will be reduced, ~5% for a full year.

    3.  You will receive the reduced pension for an extra year.
