I get a normal woman's state pension and an small NHS pension should I complete a self assessment?

On the basis of the information you've given there is no requirement to do a self assessment for tax, any tax due on your income will be taken off your NHS pension.

Either made the very wise decision NOT to pay the married woman's reduced stamp, or went with the flow and opted TO pay the 'little' stamp, because her work colleagues told her that was what all married women normally did?
