            Hi
Due to a reorganisation of offices due to Covid, our office block was cleared of equipment and some DSE has not been returned.  The IT Dept have been contacted by several managers but the replies just say that they are on the list but no timescales given and it's gone on for over 5 months already.  What do we do?
Thank you

Yes in a fashion, it's makes the back of my neck/shoulders hurt by looking down at a laptop all day rather than havinga monitor.

Have you ensured that your manager knows this is a problem for you (assuming it's more than just a mild bit of an ache)?Ms_Chocaholic said:General_Grant said:

Not sure what impact this will have in your employment but:

Where did all the monitors go I wonder0

This is quite unusual as most workplaces are really on top of it with regard to DSE assessments and compliance - I think it is usually seen as a simple (and low cost) compliance to demonstrate.
Where did the monitors go? Did people take them home during COVID and the monitors never returned? OR, are they in a cupboard somewhere on site?
Are there external mice and keyboards, or is the OP only using the laptop with nothing else?
If there are external mice and keyboards, a partial solution would be to place the laptop on a stand of some kind to elevate the screen and avoid the "hunched" sitting position. The stand could be a pile of books, or photocopier paper if there are no actual stands available.0 -

Have you thought about getting a laptop riser as a stop gap. It's not ideal you have to buy your own but it's only £10 and your health is most important in the interim. I imagine they have mice and keyboards?
I bought my own ergonomic mouse mat because I got sick of waiting for my work to provide it.
