Is this Maternity Discrimination?

Hi, really looking for some advice. I feel heartbroken with how things have turned out. To give a quick back story, I have worked for this employer for almost 5 years, was always receiving positive meetings, hitting targets etc. I had my baby boy in February 2023. I planned to return back to my current employer, but sadly they rejected my flexible working request to go part time. This was down to the fact it would impact customers. I disagree, as they’ve not hired a maternity cover, so they are coping without, so surely having me back would benefit…but hey ho. I sadly had to give my notice of being my last day (5th of February 2024) work decided to pay me my last wages (3 days accrued from the 1st of January 2024). I then heard from an ex colleague that everyone received a pay rise on the 1st of January. I feel heartbroken as they didn’t tell me this. I’m sure by law I’m entitled to this. 3 days holiday on the new pay rise would have been a bit still to miss out on. Am I right in thinking I’ve been discriminated, and I’m entitled to this? Thank you

I have read about employees in my workplace not getting pay rises when they retire etc. they state that they need to apply for the pay rise.Issue solved.0

Well I sent the below email. I didn’t want to go in all guns blazing, so I tried my best to word this in a decent manner. I didn’t want to come across aggressive demanding this pay rise you see. But I feel like they’ll get out of paying this. Surely a decent company wouldn’t hide this from a new mother. There is no point in in getting into a confrontation for a few pounds.

Have a read of the link below regarding pay rises while on mat leave.
Also check the section on Alabaster payments which may apply to you ( possibly for more than one pay increase ) some employers have been known not to make these payments.
