Just got a mortgage.need help.

Hi,

just started paying a mortgage (£140000) in September. It is linked to an offset account which I've still to fill.

My plan is to stooze using credit cards, and putting the credit into the offset. I've been stoozing for 3 years now and at my height I had £40k stoozed. If I can match this again and get my partner stoozing into the same account we could probably get upto £50k stoozed on average.

I also want to make overpayments of £200/month my mortgage is on a 10 year fixed rate at 6.09.

I am working out that if I stooze £50k using Llyods offset calculator I will knock off 9 years.

Over payments will knock off another 8 years using this calculator.

That brings my mortgage down to 8 years. Can anyone help and tell me my maths are correct and if there is anything else I can do to speed up the process? If I have extra £££ at any point is it better to overpay or put in the offset?
