Mortgage with Fixed term employment

Hello- I’m looking around at my first teacher role. Lots of them say it’s a fixed rate contract and the ECT role ends after 2 years.

I found a school that I love but it’s fixed term. Will this impact my mortgage acceptance? Should I let this one go and only look for roles that state permanent contract?

Thanks

    Speak to a broker.
Teachers are a pretty secure profession, it wont be for every lender but there will be lenders out there at normal rates.

Not the same, but I will be submitting an application next week for someone half way through a 2 year Fixed term contract. On paper his application fits with very few lenders, however because of the details its possible to get an exception made.
