in Cutting tax
Hi I made an over an additional pension payment to my 2022-2023 tax year so that it would bring me under the 40% tax band. What is the cut off for me being able to claim this back from HMRC?Just seen the cut off for the self assesment tax. Im not self employed, dont usually do self assement forms.

Self Assessment isn't just for the self employed, there are lots of reasons why someone might need to complete a tax return.
The deadline is 5 April 2027. But no point in delaying.
Presumably this was a relief at source contribution where the pension company added basic rate relief?1 -
Its was a releif at source payment I made. Will get onto them.0

It would be sensible to let them have estimates of the amount of relief at source contributions you expect to make this tax year and next at the same time, keeps things as up to date as possible.0
