Platinum ring

I want a ring, similar to my platinum wedding ring but wider. Because I don't want it to look like another wedding ring, I think it needs to be wide and flat, rather than thin and rounded.
I have seen one I like in a high street jewellers. It's white gold but I don't understand how they grade them and what sort of price I should be looking at. I would be happy with a second hand one if I can find a nice one.
Any tips? I really don't know how to do it. I don't want to spend more than 150 or 200 pounds at the very most. But I'll be wearing it every day and intend to keep it for life, so it has to be durable.
Thanks

White gold is ok, but you have to have it re-rhodium plated every so often to get it shiny again as it becomes a bit tarnished over time. I've just bought a white gold wedding ring to wear with my engagement ring.
Are you wearing it on the same finger as your wedding ring? I know that with gold the rings should be the same number of carats if you are wearing them next to each other. Not sure about platinum though.
