Hello,
I'm slightly getting ahead of myself here but interested to know how things might go. Wondered if anyone wanted to run numbers or point out if I'm missing something obvious!
The situation will be as follows in a year when my current tracker 0.69% above BoE Base Rate is coming to an end. Currently paying £820/m and pretty easily affordable on my salary/lifestyle.
I will have 30k o/s and 3.5yrs to run.
Is it likely to be completely not worth paying £1k arrangement fee for a new deal on such a small amount? Over 2 years that would be £40/m, less if 3 years obviously.
Am I as well to just go for whatever is the lowest rate available at the time that comes with no arrangement fee?
My provider doesn't seem to do trackers with no arrangement fee so I'd either be on a 2 or 3 yr fixed deal.
And it's too small an amount to be worth remortgaging.
Nice problem to have I guess, it's been a lot of years of work to get this far!
Thanks
