DS Lite UK Plug & designed for EEA question

Hello there.
I wasn't sure which forum to post this so hope this is OK.
I bought 3 DS Lites as presents, 2 from Tescos and one from Piximania (via Amazon). So far 2 have been opened and on both boxes it states "This product is designed for use within the EEA except for UK and Ireland" and there is a lot of French text on the boxes. In one a UK plug was included, but a European 2 pin plug in the other. Unfortunately, I did not check the boxes when they arrived so I do not know the origin of the boxes. I'm waiting to see what is inside the 3rd box when it is opened later today. If I could get hold of a UK plug and lead would this be OK to use in place of the European one supplied? Many thanks all.... Jackie ps. I have looked at my own DS Lite box which I bought from PC World 3 months ago and that says "this product is designed for use in UK and IReland". I'm worried that the 2 maybe 3 I have bought are not designed for the UK market in one way or the other...

The DS consoles are the same everywhere I believe, there are no region locks on the games. The difference is in the mains adaptor.
Check the input voltage on the transformer of your `foreign` DS power supply. If it says input voltage 110-240VAC or similar you can use it in the UK with a converter plug to connect it to the mains.
Alternatively it is possible to buy USB charging leads so you can charge the DS from the USB port on a PC. This one is just over £1 delivered
Hope this helps,

HI Basill
Thank you so much for all your help and advice. You are right - turns out the devices will play all the games and a razor plug does the job or the USB cable as you suggest.
Many thanks again.
