CIPD rip off non-qualification

I want to do a Masters. I thought I had 2 years done already: a PG Cert, and PG Dip - the latter with the CIPD. I now find that CIPD changed the framework and I don’t have a recognised qualification at all: just ‘graduate’. So I cannot prove I have a level 7 to apply for jobs, and I have to repeat, and pay for, the second year of a Masters should I wish to continue with it. Two and a half years of my life and a lot of time and money utterly wasted. On their forum, there are scores of people going back several years complaining about the same issue. And CIPD have done absolutely nothing to resolve it. How can this be allowed? The qualification is not worth the paper it is written on.

What qualification were you studying and was that directly with the CIPD or was it at a university and accredited by the CIPD, IE it counts for membership at an appropriate level?

What did the paperwork say about it's level

What reason has been given for it not be recognised as a level 7 qualification

ETA: I'm slightly confused. I though a PG diploma wasn't a masters and needs more study (and a dissertation?) to top it up to an MSc/MA

Because, rightly or wrongly, remarkably few professions in this country are legally regulated. Pretty much any "professional body", large or small, can offer "qualifications". Some / many may well be highly respected but that can change with time.

You or I could quite legally set up a body tomorrow inviting membership and awarding "qualifications / diplomas / associateships / fellowships" etc on whatever terms the body chooses.

    Frankly it is a minefield!

What exactly did the qualification 'promise' at the time you undertook it? Do you have written confirmation that it would do what you 'thought' it would do?
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
