George Foreman Next Generation Grillerator in sales?

I'm looking to buy a George Foreman grill with removeable plates (the next generation Grillerator) - just wondered if anyone had seen any in the sales? Thanks!

  • We had been looking to buy one since they came out but could no afford one, but a visit to Comet last week revealed them at £69.99 which was cheaper than a web search quoted. But the best bit was an easily missed little link on their web-site which gives another 10% off when you checkout. All you do then is reserve it for collection at your local store and go collect! They are well worth the purchase and much better than the original small grills.

I was looking at buying one until I read those reviews on Amazon which says it doesn't heat properly and evenly.

No problems with the heating up or distribution of the heat
Cleaning v v easy, just stick it in the dishwasher

I bought a morphy richards one from asda in the sale for £14 ( think) has plates for grilling meat etc and swaps with toastie plates. Fat drains off in corner when grilling plates are in, mind you haven't tested it yet so maybe it won't turn out such a bargain after all.

Very lucky, went to buy one in Currys today - £90! They had one with a damaged box for £70, so it is steak for tea.

We had to buy another because the other day we had friends coming round and my OH was putting things away and quickly put the grill in the oven. Of course, we forgot it was in there and put the oven on. It 'cooked' for about 10mins, by which time all the buttons had melted! Quite pleased really because I wanted one with removable plates!!
