Hi there everyone!
I have a dilemma that i thought you may be able to help me with. I purchased a Dell dimension 3000 PC system for £281 after seeing the thread on 'grab it' and after a load of hassle ordering it i paid with my card.
I received emails etc confirming the order and kept an eye on my bank account so that i knew when the money had gone (which seemed to happen later that day). Over the weekend i rang my bank as my account had more in than i had thought, the bank said that the money had not gone and nor was it pending!
Of course i then thought that perhaps there was a problem with my order so i rang Dell yesterday, they told me that the order had been despatched and to contact the delivery service provider, so i did and they told me that the sytem is due to be delivered wed (tomorrow).
Obviously thinking that it was strange they hadnt taken the money first i rang the bank again and they assure me that it has not and does not intend to go!!!! Because it is not on the system!!!!
So thanks for reading all the above C**P, but my dilemma is what do i do? Do i tell Dell its not paid for? Or do i keep schtum??????
Please help!!!!!
Regards

I would clarify with Dell and pay if they have not been paid.
I would feel a lot better about myself for doing so.
But that is my opinion.........................!!

Would you class yourself as an honest person or not?
After I received my Dell printer which I paid for online I did receive an invoice from them stating "nothing to pay" so it`s quite possible you may get an invoice saying "something to pay"0 -
I would take the money out of your account & put it elsewhere (another account / sock drawer etc) so that you are not tempted to spend it. You may get an invoice in a few weeks, in which case then you can settle up without any problems. I would wait for them to ask me for the money, not offer it up to them on a plate. But that's just me.........0

I'd close my account and move house0

"I'd close my account and move house"
LOL me too, ;D
well maybe i would but i'm sure your not that type of person , just leave the money in the bank if thats what you've agreed they take the money when their ready, otherwise congratulations on your free Dell pc ;)Nobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission

What you should do is look round for somebody who was not lucky enough to get the same bargain and offer it to them that way 2 us would sleep better. What a give away ::)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

well on first reading this i thought dont say anything :-X , and do what somebody else said and take the money out just in case you do have to pay, but then reading that they did take the money late is a good job she never did that or you might have left a bit more out of pocket if they had overdrawn you at your bank.
glad your happy with your new pc though
appreciate what you have got x0
