yeah , dont let them think you are making a partial lump sum, and the debt left remaining is still outstanding.
cos there have been cases in debt management companies where the client comes into money asks the debt charity to make big payment offers to the creditors
they don't have enough to settle all the creditors, so the charity simply sends the big lump sum to the creditors and all it does is drop the balances owed!!
as the charity didn't realise it was full and final settlements the client was offering to their creditors.
it has to be clear the balance goes to zero and won't be sold on.Christians Against Poverty solved my debt problem, when all other debt charities failed. Give them a call !! ( You don't have to be a Christian ! )

Halifax are the creditor, Moorcroft are just the appointed collector.
Moorcroft takes all instruction from Halifax, so if Halifax says its ok, then its ok, and you have it in writing to that effect. This is sufficient evidence to defend any future court claim any 3rd party may bring.
Those who have issues tend to be the ones who did not get agreement in writing, its wise to be cautious, but try not to overthink things.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
