Mortgage advisor who shouldn’t be trading

Hi,

How can I or who do I report a mortgage advisor that shouldn’t be trading ? I have found out that my buyers mortgage advisor is undergoing court proceedings and shouldn’t be offering mortgages. He has cost me my mortgage offer, i’ve lost money, i’ve had to take time off work and endure massive amounts of stress because of him.

What do you mean exactly by "shouldn't be trading"?

No contractual arrangement between yourself and your buyer’s mortgage advisor, nothing for you to claim. Your buyer’s could have gone elsewhere for their mortgage if they felt their mortgage advisor was inadequate in any way. This suggests either they couldn’t get a sufficient mortgage or they pulled out for another reason and this was an excuse.

Why would court proceedings prevent them from doing this?

There are certain legal actions that would prevent certain senior manager functions but mortgage advice doesn't have any senior manager functions itself.

You have never entered into a contract with the mortgage adviser, and therefore, no liability exists between them and you.

There's nothing in your other post that indicates it's your buyer's mortgage broker's fault.

By the look of it your mortgage would have had to have been reassessed anyway
