Council tax banding.

Options
I saw the clip of Martin Lewis explaining about challenging your council tax band.

I looked into it and unsure if it’s worth going for it.

I live in a cul-de-sac with a majority of the properties being large detached houses with garages or bungalows with garages all of which are in bad D or E. well myself and my neighbour which both houses are 3 bed Semi detached no garage houses are identical to each other are both in C and after checking the value of the properties they both should be in band B. Is this something that is worth challenging. I only ask as the other houses on the street are nothing like mine and my neighbours homes.

You will need better evidence to support your case. None of the house price indices are accurate enough to be used to justify a band reduction.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
