hello
merry xmas everyone hope u all had a good day:T
i was wondering i had an account as a child with midland bank with dunno a small amount of savings in under 100 pounds
the deal was take a pound to school every weeks and thye teacher collects then writes in ure book
unfortunetly cant find the book but was wondering if anyway of reclaimin this account as 100 with interest since 1989 (approx) could be a handsome amount
is this possible and if so would it be worth doing
thanks

Ask the HSBC for a leaflet about how to look for dormant accounts.
This is British banking association leaflet not a HSBC one.
It will give you the address to write to.
One thing to consider is that if this was a school account - would the accounts not have been held by the school and therefore the responsibilty of withdrawals might be theirs? (And not the bank).
Could it be a possibility also that the account has already been closed?0 -
