Thats one hell of a misprint. Its not even like the old currys one where they showed a picture of the TOMTOM ONE XL instead of the TOMTOM ONE V2 that it was meant to be. It isnt as if they have misplaced a digit because if the 1 was meant ot be a 2 then that ould make it more expensive than it is anyway.

When a missprice like this happens and the retailer refuses to honour it does the item not have to be removed from sale for 2 weeks... This might be if it was only advertised in local press. I vaguely remember a thing like that when I was refused the Currys TOMTOM the last time but when I mentioned that to them they let me have the XL
Been at work today, had a similar situation, a camera case was advertised at £2.99 over christmas and has gone back to £19.99 but was advertised in a clearance booklet in our store by accident, a women on the till next to me started claiming it is my right to have that price etc etc, but the manager said he does not have to honour it as he has the right to withdraw the offer at any time.

  • I was gutted yesterday as PC World near me would only match if it was in stock at Arogs, they checked and saw the the real price on the website.

I can't believe people managed to get PC world to price match without them checking

Oh well Dixons now have it for £180 so only losing about £20

They did check online... I just said we were told to turn up with the e-mail as it was a special deal for members. I also showed them my reservation with the full price on it.(for some reason all my local argos were selling out so I reserved one just in case)
  • Just to say Comet at Slough price matched a copy of the email we took in - With their price promise it cost us £154.60 - no questions asked. All I need to do now is work out how to use it lol!!!!!!
