  • @Chrysalis I have just checked  most of the independent co-op retail societies also use Deliveroo. So I’ll rephrase my question which co-op are you looking to order from online are you sure it’s the same one you are getting emails off. Double check bottom of the email it will tell you exactly which society - Chrysalis said:
I remember becoming a member, within 2 months both my local CO-OPs were closed along side with a bunch of others in the city, so then it became dormant.

Then I seen on Deliveroo you could use it for discounts, however it then said my member ID was invalid, even though I was still getting emails from them as an active member.  So in the end a bit of a disappointment.

The emails are from coop themselves, not from a specific store.
The store I use uses deliveroo, I will try my member Id again before my next order.

I think what mutualowners means is that you could be getting emails from Co-op (blue & white logo) but the shops on Deliveroo could be co op southern for example (taupe and white logo)

Can I use my Co-op card in any Co-op?

You can use it in most of our 2,500+ stores across the UK. There are some exceptions, including Midcounties, Central England, Southern or Chelmsford Star co-operatives, and franchise stores. Check instore for details.

    Are there different Co-op cards?

East of England Co-op and Midlands Co-op are separate businesses, and use different coloured cards. You can’t use your blue Co-op Member card in their stores – you can use it across most Co-op UK stores.

No there are more than 2. Co-op, East of England Co-op, midlands co-op, franchises, Midcounties, Central England, Southern or Chelmsford Star co-operatives.

So I’m guessing your card is valid where you used to shop before they closed down but are not valid for the ones on Deliveroo? If you look on Deliveroo it tells you which store it’s coming from so if you go in there you should be able to get a loyalty card.

But …. I’ve never been able to use a loyalty card on any Deliveroo delivery so I’m not even sure it’s possible?

Member prices heh. Biggest scam of the decade with the likes of Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys and Iceland doing it.
A way of pretending there is a bigger discount.

    hmm... intriguing.

Just to correct the information about different societies, in 2014 Anglia Co-op and Midlands Co-op merged to become Central England Co-op, now known as Central Co-op.
