Going to bed is so easy yet getting up is so difficult, especially in winter. I'm resisting.

Morning All
I braved the cold and got up! The heating is on and there's quite a frost outside.
The washing was nearly dried outside yesterday, aired it off by the fire overnight and the quilt cover was over the bannister, all now put away. Today's load is in and I'll put it out once the sun comes up (if it does).
Well done Izzy, are you going to go every week now?
Pleased to see the sick bay is gradually clearing.
Off for a swim first thing then I really must go shopping, DD and family are coming for dinner so will do a roast. I did a lot of finishing off yesterday - finished sewing up the little one's cardigan (may fit her when she's 10!), finished the pj bottoms and finished a book that had become quite a drag.
Hope you all have a peaceful and happy Sunday, take care. XX8 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start Gers, enjoy your lie in.
Well done Izzy.
Hope the poorlies are feeling better.
Cold here so don't think I'll be going out.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.9 -
Made it up and out of bed ready to face the day. And what a cold grey day it is. Perhaps the sun won't break through at all.My plans are to make another batch of lentil soup and boil some eggs to make eggs mayo for my lunch rolls. If the weather stays dry I'll take away the recycling bag and bring in some logs. I think it's time to clean out the woodburner, I use a dedicated ash vacuum so it's not onerous. My cough is gently persistent with the odd bout of and then. Nothing like as awful as last week. I've just heard this bug referred to as 'the hundred day cough', I really hope not.Hugs to those under the weather and struggling along.11

Good morning everyone. Towels are in the washing machine and now time for a little tidying. The rest of the day is in the lap of the gods but will probably include some paper work being filed and checking the financial situation.
Well done Izzy, in my head I would love to do more exercise, it's just getting the message to the rest of the body. Note to myself to try harder.
Glad to read that there is improvement for some of the poorlies, hope the rest soon feel better. Thoughts are with those sad or worried.
Take care xx11 -
Morning everyone thank you for all your lovely comments I expected to feel stiff this morning but I’m alright I know I did it though I intend to go every week although I didn’t find it easy the hardest part was getting up in the dark and the cold but I felt great when I had done it the only way I won’t go is if it’s icy that’s a definite no no . It’s bright but chilly at the minute I have a small joint of beef I’m going to do for later with veg and Yorkshire puddings I made a big pan of soup yesterday some is in the fridge the rest is in the freezer it will do us all week for lunches . I forgot to say I did a spin and win on my Lidl app and won ten pounds off my next shop I will use that on Friday. Nice to hear people are starting to feel a bit better . I have some housework to do but otherwise not a lot happening I’ve got the bosses wife all week as the other girl is on holiday 46 days tomorrow I can do this . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all. It doesn't look too bad outside today; chilly but with added sunshine.
Yesterday I went down to Kings Cross on the train for a music session in a nearby pub. I had plenty of time so stopped for tea and cake in the British Library cafe, where they wanted to see what was in my case so I had to show them my melodeon! It was jolly cold walking down Euston Road. We had to finish at 4pm so all the trains back home then stopped at every station but DH was meeting me off the train with the car so we could go straight home.
Today I'm going to put some pork steaks in the slow cooker and will add some garlic and apples. We are meeting DD and the grandsons for a walk round a Country Park and then feeding them afterwards. Her husband has tickets for Man U v Spurs in the FA Cup this afternoon so will have a long drive up to Manchester for the match.
Izzy; glad to hear you still did your run yesterday. I see a long running career ahead of you
Hope everyone else continues to recover. Have a restful Sunday.12 -
I think today might be a rinse and repeat of yesterday with added rest cos I’m shattered! Anyone else run themselves ragged ‘doing’ at the weekend? I’m not good at sitting still. There’s some cooking to do too - fish pies for the freezer and a ‘new to me’ recipe for chicken with sweet potato and a marmalade and star anise glaze. For now though, dog walking and chores!Stay safe and warm all

Morning! OH has gone and I am actually showered and dressed. I want some long black socks so a trip to M&S is on the cards. All my long stripey ones bit the dust and are now serving as wrist warmers and it's too cold for short ones which is all I have left. I'll combine that with some cupboard stocking, I will need tea next week and vinegar. Pork belly is ready to stick in the oven but I'm not sure on what flavours I want yet, maybe Chinese maybe normal. It will have some type of bang bang cauli to go with it though. That's my exciting day, cooking and shopping
but then, supermarkets are the only place I really like shopping...food obsessed? moi?
Izzy, that's brilliant, I can see you becoming and 100k runnerGers, slowly slowly etc...Is you hoover a specific one for ash or a henry type? do you know if you can use Henrys? camelot, hope the swin wasn't too bracing! allie, I used to yes. And I always worried about sitting stil and doing what I called nothing as if if I didn't fill my days with doing, I didn't deserve to have a day off and I was wasting days. Took a long time to get out of that mindset. I am now in complete accord with millenials. If I'm not feeling it, 'm not feeling it
Anyway, have a good day all if possible, do something new and different!

Morning all
Cold here but no frost this morning, they are saying we might get snow this week 🤞🤞 I have got the bedding on a hot wash and once done it can hang out for a while it may dry a bit but will smell nice.
DD went out last night and stayed over with a friend, so OH and I will take the dogs out for a long walk, OH is working on a house atm which they have completely gutted and are going to re design the layout it’s a beautiful 4 bedroom place in the village where I grew up very remote which is my ideal house, we are going to pop in and have a look, it’s not for sale the local farmer / land owner owns it but I can dream !
Roast chicken for dinner later and I will do some yorkshires with it I will do extra potatoes and veg so the dogs can have a dinner.
Izzy well done that’s some achievement xx
Have good days all and take care xx10
