If they like music....go and buy Guitar Hero 3. (you may enjoy it too!)
The new version comes with a Wireless Guitar
My kids (6 & 9) spent hours playing it today....Mind you they like the Doors, Queen, Sex Pistols and their favourite track is smoke on the water!

It says from age 12 ....but I guess thats an advisory and depends on your parental point of view.
Its also cheaper than the two earlier versions.....
I would also say Lego Star Wars for the PS2 ...its excellent.

My kids love Ratchet and ClankThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

My 6 year old has been enjoying playing Ben 10, and I must admit I have too...0

Get them the kids Buzz game and then you can play all the other Buzz quiz games that use the buzzers.
Excellent family fun at Christmas!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
I would agree with the posts above, especially recommending Lego Star Wars games, these ones are favourites here and are played every week.
My 2 youngest boys (aged 6 and 9) also love any Spongebob game, Shrek game or Spyro the dragon. My DD aged 12 also likes these so if you have a girl she would be happy with them too.
There's also a new Simpson's game out that you may find reduced in the sales now, or you could check out the price of an Eyetoy camera bundle, that will keep them busy (there are several games compatible with the Eyetoy camera and ours wasn't very expensive).
I find the cheapest games are in Supermarkets; Asda, Tesco or Sainsburys being very competitive and often cheaper than Woolies or Argos. But this time of year, also have a look in Game and Gamestation, they always have good offers especially in the sales, you can save £5 - £10 on each game by shopping around.
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Kingdom Hearts. It's an 11+ but I really don't know why. It's a quest with Disney characters! There's a Noddy game on the market but that's all I know. There aren't many games for that age for the PS2. DS on the other hand...0
