When doing competitions you can click entered , how do you folks keep a track on which one of these you have entered?  I don't want to enter twice and get myself disqualified!  I know you can click compliment, but that disappears once others click it !  Sorry if this has been answered or i shouldn't have posted this here! (if not the right place can one of the mods move it?) Thanks in advance
I find that if I put the mouse point on the answer box, it comes up if I have already answered. hope that helps good luck.

I complement the op for each that I enter, the next time I go back to find where you have reached if you click on complement and the count goes down you have entered before, if the count goes up you have not entered, hope that helps.
I do it just for fun and whatever I win is a bonus
  • I also use the compliment button as a way to track what was the last one I entered, as others mention it will go up or down accordingly.
You can also sign up to get notifications of new posts added to that thread, then you'll know when something new has been added or if someone has commented.
Good luck with your comping! X

On the main thread, you can also use the green tick or red cross to mark as entered or ignored. On a regularly updated thread, like the puzzle ones, I also use the compliment button as a marker. I also bookmark the threads, to get notifications. If you click an emailed link back to the thread, it will take you to the specific post you were notified about, so you can be confident that you won't have seem that particular post on the thread before. The bookmark icon is near the top of the page, far right.

Just jot down the date or date and time of the last one you enter then next time you know where to start and just add where you finish - really simple low tech.

you can keep it online using quotes and saved drafts but why bother.
