I posted on my FB about a common scam that is happening in the recruitment of healthcare workers where the agencies charge money for recruitment which is illegal as per employment act.
One such agent had heated argument with me as someone mentioned his name and details as a comment. Nothing to do with my original post as it was a general one and did not identify anyone.
The recruitment agency who is under investigation by EAS thinks I reported him, he has now complained to my employer about my FB post, (I work for a Govt department) My manager has called me for a meeting.
Any similar experiences, any advice please.
I am not worried as I have not broken any rules or law. just bothers me...

If you're not worried why have you posted here? Given that the agency was able to identify your employer it sounds as if you do have something to worry about, given the strict rules for those in public service.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

Basic rules everybody should apply to social media in my opinion are

    1.  Never identify your employer
    2. Never access social media from any work device
    3. Never accuse anybody of anything unless you have cast iron proof that what you are saying is entirely true.
    4. Never post what anybody has said to you as being fact.
Any social media, especially if posting in a public place, should be using an anonymous account.

Never post publicly as the real you.

if that means 1 FB account for friends and family and 1FB account for any public commenting you want to do, then so be it.

Everything and anything is always immortalised on the internet.
Never friend your colleagues (I won't even do it now I've retired ...)

I agree although I wonder if many anonymous accounts are actually as anonymous as the owners like to think?

There have certainly been occasions on here where posters have been identified from a handful of clues in previous posts. Unless your posting never says anything true about your own life and experiences then generally it is quite easy for somebody who knows you to work out who is behind the user name.

That of course is before we get onto those with more determined and / or more professional sleuthing skills!

Thank you for your replies, I had a meeting with my manager and she was surprised why they contacted the employer in the first place and just wanted my explanation to the matters and was convinced with my reply and said the agency does not deserve a reply so matter thrown out of the window.

Good news - now go on Facebook and rub the recruiter's face in it!

    (only joking)

That sounds like a decent outcome, it feels strange to see a manager look at the context and come to a sensible decision.
