Unable to fill NI gaps

They are checking it… for 12/13, 14/15 etc I can only make voluntary contribution for 10/11 and 11/12 which will not be enough as far as I know… as it’s been more than 10 years how likely is it that they finished their check before April 2025 deadline? It tells me that I don’t have to do anything but all those years don’t count still I am very anxious

I know that checked that but it does not apply to my situation it looks like a tech issue or something?

We're you registered self employed in any of the "We are checking" years?

As above, the checking tag usually means you were registered as self employed and did not pay class 2 contributions.  Often you can contact HMRC and they can remove the tag or advise what you need to do.  It is unlikely the tag will self remove before they do the final reconciliation prior to retirement.

Based on the screenshot, you can make voluntary contributions for 11/12, 14/15, 15/16 and 17/18. That's four years.
You've already got four complete, and have 27 future years until state pension age.
How many more years do you actually need?

With less than 10 years they will not have a forecast, just a NI record, so that information will not be available.

With only 4 years they will need at least another 31 which means at least 4 gaps needing filled and that is without trying to get a bit ahead.

The good news, then, is that you might be able to fill the gaps from your self-employed days with cheap Class 2 payments rather than Class 3.

Ok thanks do i need to contact 0800 731 0469 then? And how long do they take to sort it out? As if i need to pay all of those years (a total of 6 years in question) by Apr 2025 i need to start saving now. Probably don’t need all the years to make 35 years total but still need some

No, TPS only deal wit post retirement queries.  NI helpline will deal with sorting out the checking tag (and give the reference number to make payments).
    0300 200 3500
They may then push you back onto the Future Pension Centre who deal with checking your pension, they may not with so few years though
