Stu, at the end of the day if your wife has nothing available she should not pay anything.

yes floss, as at the moment there is a lot of upheaval going on regards our new jobs and incomes.

she is also going for a 2nd part-time job this week. and on Wednesday I have a final assessment for another higher paying job for myself.even though I have been offered a new highish paying job already.

in theory there could be a lot more income coming in to the household total, than we have ever had for a long while

so until we get the true picture.it could be a case of she earns little but I earn lots so she contributes very little to the housekeeping. thus she may have some money  left towards debts.

or she has exactly nothing , either way. we have to decide what to do.  pay nothing and hope for debt write offs, pay something and carry on with a dmp.
or have a tiny excess that allows a DRO.

we could" play' about with the monies ratios in that she still capable of running a dmp.
but if she wants to go down the DRO or ask for debt write off route, then the exact ratios will have to be worked out , declared and applied in order to justify a DRO or write offs
Christians Against Poverty solved my debt problem, when all other debt charities failed. Give them a call !! ( You don't have to be a Christian ! )
