I'm taking DD out today for a bite to eat and cinema. Although I'm tempted to say to her let's just get snacks out and then get a cheap take out later as that way DP can have some. I'll see what she thinks..her sleepover didn't go as planned and her friend ended up going home last night as she was called for a shift at work today. So thought I'd take DD out and cheer her up a bit (plus I'd already planned on a cinema trip for her anyway 😁).

I'll use one of my discount apps to get tickets and possibly food too. And I will make sure to avoid shops so I don't overspend.

Although ..I do need to get some face cream for myself as it's run out. I've been avoiding Amazo^ for shopping. I really hate using them and I've found lately their prices are not cheap, the delivery is never next day here and I'm usually left underwhelmed and out of pocket. So I've been making a concerted effort to buy locally instead and in small shops rather than supermarkets etc (aside from food that always seems to default to big shops as I cannot be bothered shopping in several places).

I need to actually go food shopping but have been putting it off so that we use up everything in the cupboards and fridge.

Also, can you believe we had the fire on here last night?! Have we already had our summer 🤯 it's so cold outside....right anyway can hear DD getting ready to make a move so I'll be off.

We all ended up at BK as we had 25% off then DP returned home and back to work. We managed to find a one hour free parking bay too so no parking charges. DD and I went to the cinema and I got 3.5% CB on the tix. Film was okay, Disney isn't really my cup of tea. It was watchable though. It was Also over the top loud and I wonder why they do that 😵 I've come away with a headache and I have a problem with my hearing...I don't know how people with perfect hearing were standing the noise 🙈. Anyway, that's done and DD had fun, I bought some hair dye and water and a drink for DD and we shared a small pack of sweets so I managed the day out for less than £60 all in including food and tix and everything else (and hair dye was £11!)
I'm trying to decide how to spend my summer, I feel like I need a hobby or project or something as otherwise I get caught up in Diy and housework. So I'm having a think on something that isn't strenuous and would be fun for me to do.

Next month is a busy one for me and I was seriously hoping my energy would be back to pre -meno for the busy activities I have planned, and it's sadly not 🫤. The hot flashes stopped thank God but the energy is still mostly exhausted at the mo. I may go back to docs earlier than planned to speak to her perhaps there is something else I can try. But also wondering if I should just give it more time.

Anyway nothing exciting happening here. I hope everyone off with the kids is having a good half term and those still working, hope your commute is nice and easy this week 😆.

Oh, I thought it was quiet this morning … Hadn’t put two and two together at all! 😂

Glad the film was okay but completely agree about it being waaaay too loud - puts me off ever going now.

I thought you enjoyed cross stitch or embroidery or some such? 🤔

I do you're quite right, I've done all my embroidery kits I had. Perhaps I'll buy another one 😁
We went to two different cinemas over the last two weeks and the odeon is just horribly loud 😵‍💫 I think I will stick to the other one which has sofas, food brought to the seat and very small screens which is much nicer 😁.

Might be worth looking on bay of e for kits people have started but abandoned? A colleague of mine put me onto this a few years ago.

Morning, I finally had a better night's sleep last night. Woke up after 9 today! I have had a few surveys pay out and i've been using the money to pay the CC. I have less than £200 left owing now between my weekend away which I paid for in 3 and also DS trainers. I've paid over £70 off with sales, surveys and rounding down in my bank over the last week or so. Next month I may try to make £50 which is the amount left on the smallest. I have budgeted for it all but you know, it's more fun when you make the money as extra
Today I will get in the garden- it's sunny! YAY!
I will also do the food shopping. We managed to push that back by 5 days so that is good, we've plenty left in the budget which resets on Sunday.
I may do some bulk cooking too and I have a banana loaf to make. As DS isn't here we've about 7 bananas that didn't get eaten on time, but they are perfect for a banana loaf!
I'll do a bit of housework but I am not getting sucked into wasting my day scrubbing this house clean whilst the rain has stopped.
Not much else really so I'll be off...

DP has been paid. He's sent money to the bills account for the 1st.

My banking app is quite useful for seeing an overview of where I'm spending. There is a section in the transaction bit to click that says spending (NWest app) so I have had a look today as I found it at the beginning of the month and I've nearly a whole months spends in there now.

Spending from my personal account -

£15.20 at college which is okay. It's just the odd drink or snack or lunch over a month. Could be better though.

Amazo^ £20 - however I had a refund for 12 so I only actually spent £8!! This is amazing for me...this app has become too addictive to quick shopping for me. I'm really pleased and proud of myself for breaking this habit.

    Savings - £700
    OP - £200.
These two together are pretty much my wages for the month so that's amazing for us to use an entire wage for saving 😄. Obviously this won't be long term it's just until we start build works on the house.

Extra income is £30 from surveys. £40 from sales. All sent to CC.

Food shopping seems to be a little all over as it says we've only spent £400. I know that's not true so I think DP must have done the first week's shop out of his personal account before transferring money across to the food account. However we have spent in budget which makes a change. We've gone over a few times recently which is crazy as we have a huge budget for food compared to what we were struggling on before. 🤔 I think GF/ VG/ eating healthy and as organic as possible is an expensive way to live.

Right my shopping list is done. I'm going to head out and get it out the way. I'm just doing a small shop to see us through to Sun.
DP has requested one meal, DD another and I will find something I fancy as I shop. Four meals only, fruit, some veg and a few cupboard / fridge staples... let's see if I can do this cheaply. Less than £40 would be ideal but not sure if I will manage it.

Okay so less than forty quid was a pie in the sky dream 🤔😵‍💫. I ended up re-stocking tins and dried jars etc so it came in at £74 so an okay amount and I probably could have got it cheaper if I had just stuck to the meals. I thought I may as well use the money that's left though to fill cupboards meaning we'll get to pay day and our cupboards aren't bare like usual. That's the theory anyway....also I found GF pasta at lidl! Never seen it there before so I was very excited and bought two boxes even though it wasn't on my list. It will save me going to Mr T for one off things like that!

We have an appointment in a week or so to speak to the mortgage company about adding the loan amount we need for the extension to the mortgage. So hopefully a better rate than the one we've already secured. Fingers crossed... 🤞if we can get a better rate we will probably have enough to still OP mortgage which would be good.
