This must be HMRC issue! In
I'm using fairly new smartphone, have access to several HMRC accounts (employment, self-employment, charity etc), never had any issue with messages until just over a week ago. I'm using the same phone on the same network as previously but now text messages are not arriving.
Has it been resolved for anybody?
A longshot but, when I sign in, I am offered the option to receive a text or a notification through the HMRC app. Is that a possibility for you at this very late juncture?

Alternatively (and I’m not recommending this at 11 pm on 31 January -definitely not) change your mobile number!

This happened to me about ten years ago and I changed it to a relatives number. It worked and I changed it back the next day.

Whether it works or not now 🤷

no problem getting the access code but on both occasions I have done so in the last 8 days within hours I get a phishing message asking me to log into a "government" website to "verify"
obviously I did not and reported both as spam

I received a text ‘from HMRC’ regarding a fiscal event which required my urgent attention. Maybe later!
