Updated DBS Stuck On Stage 4 Now Been Query Back to Stage 3

I have no emails saying anything about my dbs been Query and dont know who to contact apart from dbs team there getting in touch with police force and dont know what to do now?

I regularly have to do DBS checks for new staff.
Worst one was in the summer which took around 7 weeks. They always sail through all the preliminary checks in a day or 2 and then are sent to the local police stn to your post code. I can tell from an applicant's address whether theirs will be back in 3 days or if I'm looking at 1-2 months.
The last one I did on 15th Dec is still at the local stn (been there since 17th Dec), I don't anticipate that lady starting with us until the end of the month or maybe even Feb! Yep the same stn as the 7 week one last summer!

Yeah next week be my 6th week waiting so hopefuly hear some news!

Dose Level 2 DBS check normaly take 6 weeks to 8 weeks?

When my Son and I had our DBS done at the same time his came back really quick and mine was significantly longer, can't remember exact amount of weeks but I'd forgotten I was still waiting.

It all depends on what DBS they done the normal one or enhanced dbs but did not know it takes this long for them and scared that my boses will drop the offer

We both had the same check done, can't recall which but allows us to volunteer with children

Guess your lucky to get it done as fast, I been sitting down worried for past couple weeks that my job going to retract the offer because it taking to long. 6 weeks been waiting /:

Try not to worry about them retracting the offer. The job clearly needs a DBS done for employees, so if they were to retract your offer they'd only have to start the whole process again with another potential employee which would just increase the time they'd be waiting for someone to start.

Yeah just found out yesterday that it went back to stage 3 again because of query and been trying to find out where query gone but got my hopes on at moment that they looked up wrong peron with same name as me because stage 1 to 3 was really quick!
