Hi all,
Happy New Year.

If you are part way in on a DMP, can you stop it and go into BR?
thanks.

Well, I wasted the whole year thinking about doing something. A year went so fast and I was going through chemo and just finished 18 months, blood cancer so now gone but back to the the level it was 10 years ago, and at touching 68 yrs and with this darn illness and having a triple bypass about a year before that and the stress of this job and all the legal legislation we have to keep up with has made me drained. drained mental and physical. It is estimated it would take me 2.6 years to be free....i can't keep going that long. I have just had enough. if I ain't to careful this job will be the death of me and that would make me angry. I assume I could just stop when I retire and file BR..they can't take what I don't have then can they?

  • Are you paying anything on the DMP at the moment?

If so just stop, you were given clues last year that it might be possible to get your debt written off because of your health.

For precise advice you need to do a SOA so we can see the full picture.
