Payment date CS Pension which tax year?

Good afternoon
First tax year in receipt of CS Pension and worked part of the year before retirement.
Looking at total earnings/tax/pension for year just to check all Ok as I think I may have overpaid tax.
My CS payment date is 7th every month and in April 24 nearest weekday is Friday 5th when I think I will receive April payment.
Will this payment be treated as 24/25 tax year or fall in 23/24 as I've actually received it in the latter tax year?
Many thanks

Your pension is paid on date X of the month or if that date falls on a weekend the last banking day before (rather than first banking day after).
Many would be screaming blue murder if employer/pension provider paid "late".
It must be treated as 23-24 tax year if paid on the 5th April, the last day of that tax year.
But the first year of a private pension, income tax is often slightly out and gets corrected in next year's calculations as a tidy up feature of HMRC processes.1 -
My understanding is that the HMRC guidance for payments that are normally paid on the 6th April but which is paid early due to a weekend/bank holiday is that the payment date should still use the 6th April and hence fall into the later tax-year. I see no reason why this wouldn't be the same for a payment of the 7th April.Have a look at https://www.litrg.org.uk/latest-news/news/190405-important-information-if-you-are-paid-your-salary-or-pension-5th-or-6th which was from a few years ago "According to HMRC guidance, in such cases where payment is made early due to the usual payment date falling on a non-banking day, the information submitted to HMRC by your pension provider should still show Saturday 6 April as the payment date, rather than Friday 5 April."Might be one to check with your CS pension admin people to check that they will be following the guidance.

All my payments from AFPS are recorded in my tax account as being paid on the normal payment date irrespective of the date actually paid.
