I am afraid I don't have the original. All were filed in the bin. I do have one piece of correspondence from DCB Legal prior to them issuing proceedings, but that was obviously late stage. I do not even know how long the person driving my car exceeded the 2 hour limit.troublemaker22 said:That’s right. This claim is all based on the original notice you received from the parking company. Please show it to us.0 -
Can I request a copy of it? Or is that not wise at this stage since I will be corresponding directly with them.Etccarmageddon said:Yes it is critical the NTK is checked as it may have parts that are not compliant with pofa0 -
Won't matter because DCB Legal will discontinue later this year anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Not a brilliant tactic to more or less force them to sue you by ignoring the PCN and then throwing the evidence away - but it won't matter because either they will throw in the towel before sending you their evidence or they will send you their evidence before throwing in the towel2

UPDATE - this is not good right?

I agree and I am kicking myself. I just didn't think it would get this far. Lesson learned. I just posted an update which doesn't look good to me...... terrified of getting a CCJ.troublemaker22 said:Not a brilliant tactic to more or less force them to sue you by ignoring the PCN and then throwing the evidence away - but it won't matter because either they will throw in the towel before sending you their evidence or they will send you their evidence before throwing in the towel0 -
I have just posted some correspondence that I received today. Is that what you expected?Umkomaas said:
Hopefully you've read that thread now and have realised none of it's about 'complete numpties'. Rather the opposite, it highlights stars of the show who have followed forum advice, complied with court procedures, and have forced DCB Legal and whichever parking company they are representing to concede their cases and crawl back under their stones! Everyone's a winner on that thread. Get yourself on it in the coming Spring/Summer.Netty2771 said:
Thank you. I have submitted my defence so fingers crossed. Mentioned in dispatches? For being the complete numpty who missed the deadline?! ;-) I will have a read of that thread now - thanks again.Umkomaas said:Get your defence in now, thereafter follow the required court procedures to the letter (no more missing deadlines!) and the prospect of DCB Legal discontinuing your case is very high. After you have submitted your defence (nothing must get in the way of that - nothing), have a read of the following thread; you could find yourself mentioned in dispatches there before too long:

It all follows the standard pattern of DCB Legal leading to a discontinuation. Surely you've read some of the 271 cases in the DCB Legal Record of Discontinuations thread? Most of them follow this exact pattern. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Standard email from DCBL hoping you are a mug and you will give in and pay them.
Of course you will not fall for this and you will not be paying/
