Get your defence in now, thereafter follow the required court procedures to the letter (no more missing deadlines!) and the prospect of DCB Legal discontinuing your case is very high. After you have submitted your defence (nothing must get in the way of that - nothing), have a read of the following thread; you could find yourself mentioned in dispatches there before too long:

Thank you.  I have submitted my defence so fingers crossed. Mentioned in dispatches?  For being the complete numpty who missed the deadline?! ;-)  I will have a read of that thread now - thanks again.

Please read the NEWBIES thread to prepare for the next stages.

AND read the Template Defence first 12 steps.

They are both pinned Announcement threads at the top of this board so no links needed.

Please no questions about the DQ or the first letter from the solicitor.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • Now your defence is filed you have plenty of time to plan for victory.

Not being the driver might be your get out of jail free card. Or it might not. It depends on whether the notice to keeper complies with all the requirements of POFA.

Please show us both sides of the notice. Redact your name, address, vehicle number and any reference number but leave all dates visible.

Hopefully you've read that thread now and have realised none of it's about 'complete numpties'.  Rather the opposite, it highlights stars of the show who have followed forum advice, complied with court procedures, and have forced DCB Legal and whichever parking company they are representing to concede their cases and crawl back under their stones!  Everyone's a winner on that thread. Get yourself on it in the coming Spring/Summer.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I have read it - what a brilliant thing you have done there. I will be proud to be an addition to it.  Fingers crossed .....  but looking at their course of action, what do I say if they call me prior to their 'without prejudice' offer?

Put the phone down, then block their number. You are not required to speak with them.

By the way, the notice that @troublemaker22 was asking you to post up was not the court claim form (although that is useful), it was the original, very first letter you received from the parking firm, probably headed 'Notice to Keeper'.

  • That’s right. This claim is all based on the original notice you received from the parking company. Please show it to us.
  • Yes it is critical the NTK is checked as it may have parts that are not compliant with pofa
