Instagram app crashing when trying to post

For no apparent reason I am no longer able to make posts on the Instagram app on my iPad. It just crashes. I have tried everything  I can find on Google but no change. Has anyone else had this problem?

is it Instagram blocking you? have you made a lot of posts lately? They have blocked most of us on here one way or another during the advent comps. Have you got the app on another device to try that?

I have exactly the same issue on my iPad Air 2 that started a couple of days ago . I am able to post on the Instagram app from my iPhone so it’s not Instagram blocking me. I’ve tried everything like deleting and reinstalling the app but nothing has worked.

How old is it? Could it be that it is no longer supported? I had lots of problems with facebook and other apps keep crashing with the very first ipad a few years ago after doing one of their updates. Once apple stopped supporting it I ended up having to buy a new one because it was practically useless for what I needed it for.
