Morning all, well the sun is shining but that bitter wind is with us. Never mind I'm not going out, what we've got now will have to do as by all accounts the sm's were choc a bloc yesterday with long queues at the checkouts !
I'm not feeling the best this morning so will just potter on and do what I can, we're out on xmas day and then there's only our little family coming on Boxing day.
This morning I have put the wm on and taken all the meat out of the freezer to defrost ready to cook tomorrow. This afternoon will be taken up watching our favourite xmas films 🤶
Hope everyone has a good day whatever you're doing. Hugs to anyone in need especially TA and all the poorly ones.
Take care all

Once in royal Davids city,
Stood a lowly cattle shed,
Where a mother laid her Baby,
In a manger for His bed:
Mary was that mother mild,
Jesus Christ, her little Child.

I made 12 corned beef pasties and 24 mini sausage rolls, I gave eight of each away and there are two sausage rolls left. I did one lot of rolls with black pudding and one lot with cranberry sauce and the latter i will do again...And there's plenty of corned beef filling to do more and enough in the freezer for a pie. So that's tomorrow sjob. Today is washing and drying and hoovering and cleaning the kitchen...whichu usually gets done CHristms Eve but not ths year. I'll be psending tomorow cooking probably, and then going to OHs mums. We are going out tonight to his club, he found out one of his friends had passed away on Tuesday so an impromptu wake will probably happen.TA, yes, just be kind to yourself for a bit and do what you want. Gers, I'm sorry you're worse, glad you're home in one piece though! nanny, take it easy, remember delegation! For all the poorlies, fingers crossed you have rapid improvement! And today is always the storm before the calm so hang in there, nearly time to do nothing! [for those who do do nothing that is, not the ones working or looking after us, hope your days go quickly until you do have some time off]Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi6 -
Afternoon all.Still wet & wild here. We are off to the football match in an hour or so. DGD isn't coming - she had a fall when she was ice-skating last night & is still a bit sore.We did call up at our friends after dropping DS1 off at the pub last night. They were pleased to see us, and we had a good catch up though I do ring her every week. Un fortunately just before we left the electric went off so I used my phone torch to help her locate candles etc. They are well out of the way so no street lights to help. Apparently the emergency team have put an emergency generator at the end of the drive, so they had power by 12.30 last night. That will stay for 2 weeks as there are trees to remove etc before they can fix it. They have an oil fired aga so are ok for the turkey cookfest !TA I quite understand you not wanting to see lots of people- Christmas becomes just another day when you are grievingHope the unwell are feeling slightly better, though it doesn't sound like it really
Take care all x
