…..How much more do you think you have to do?
Unfortunately, I'm still not half way done 😕 If I was just winter digging a veg patch, it would be quicker, but I'm having to dig, move turfs and soil to even out the levels, before I then set too with breaking down the soil - like you do when making a veggie bed - but in this case I'll be re-sowing a lawn. Whatever I manage will look better when it's done, it's just a heck of a task - say for example to even get to a stage where you could involve a rotovator to break up the bigger clods. coming across the building debris, in addition to rocks and stones each time you plunge the spade in, is jarring and time consuming 😕 But it will look better in the long run, and just make the garden/lawn instantly more useable. I want to be able to pitch our little tent out there. It won't be bowling green flat - it probably just can't be, but it won't be the north face of the Eiger, either.

Good Afternoon MFW'rs
Just back from a pootle about. We had rain forecast, but of course it's pavement splitting sunshine….. 🙄 I did a wash - with the full expectation of having to dig the dehu out, but I've pegged it out instead, as the forecast is more stable for this arvo now.
I took my library books back to the little library across the way. Summat's afoot. I got a parking space, in the actual car park…….. There are NEVER parking spaces in the car park, it is always full, and I usually end up parking on the road….. Very discombobulating 🤪
I was the right side of town to visit the range - I need some more clothes washing powder, and as MrS have singularly failed to supply me with an offer on their own label washing powder, for the past X months (and yet today have offered me dishwasher tablets at a reduced price, what a pity i don't actually own a dishwasher 🙄) I went to the rAnge and got some fa1ry. Only a smallish box, as we have had sensitivity issues with new powders in the past, but this is supposed to be the most popular option for sensitive skin. And it is supposed to dissolve in the wash - MrS powder had started to leave white streaks on the washing. I also bought a new cake tester - my previous one was more wire like, but the head had come off, making it difficult to find in the drawer. My previous one was tala brand, this is mas0n cash. £9.68 of non-food expense.
I then popped to fArmf00ds. Bit disappointing today, but that's the nature of the shop. I did get some olive oil, and some more of their tinned beans 3for£1. The one 'good' thing I spotted today, was not necessarily the cheapest ounce for ounce (may be), was a small jar of pAtAk's mango chutney for 89p. I'm not a huge fan of it, but you know sometimes a recipe will call for a splodge or something, and I never want to buy a jar, to maybe not use it all in a timely fashion. This jar seemed to offer a good compromise. What's the betting I can't find a recipe that needs it now……. 🤣 £6.88 spent in FF.
On the way home I decided to go into MrM. I rarely shop in there - too many memories of having to shop for my mum in that particular store, but I hadn't been in a while. They obviously have had a change round - alot of the 'market st' fresh foods seems to have gone. But that store has upped it's game with all manner of world foods, which is new for that branch. And for possibly the first time ever, I saw YS'd frozen foods. I've seen stuff on offer before, but this was all YS'd and shoved in the end freezer, that usually has the special offers in. I limited my purchases to some veggie burgers (not YS'd 😕), 4 seed mix and a YS'd packet of chaat masala. I am glad I popped in for a look, as the store has changed - possibly for the better - but there were plenty of empty shelves (may have just gone in after the pre-weekend rush). £3.43 spent.
Total food spend £10.31. Non-food £9.68.

Mmmm, I am pretty sure - pre LG - that we might have had some of this, and I'm not convinced it didn't bring me out in spots. 🤞Fingers crossed it has changed formula. I always was a p3rs1l non-bio gal, and then went to MrS non-bio, but it's been creeping up in price (as have all powders), and now leaves white streaks, which I saw as a comment about P non-bio too. I've only bought a small box, so we'll see. I may well be cussing myself. Odd isn't it, my mum used it - and c0mf0rt softener in every wash, and never even so much as a pimple 🙄 DH and I must be right sensitive 🙄😂 But I have to say, your comment is an 'at the back of my mind' worry I have.

I was having a problem with washing.powder leaving white streaks on dark clothing until I started dissolving it in hot water before adding it to the dispenser drawer.

Good Evening MFW'rs
kayannie - that's an option - certainly if the new powder brings us out in spots.
I decided to do pizza for tea - asparagus pizza, which was a good choice, as (I didn't decant it out of the packets, so my fault), the MrAl asparagus was starting to go funky on a couple of stems at the 'flower' end. I rescued it, with a swift couple of 'snips'. I used some of the remaining mozzarella cheese from the freezer, a bit of cheddar and some tommie sauce. I also cooked up the last of some of the Easter tatties. I think they were from MrL - I still have MrS ones, and MrAl ones - I think that is right. I made wedges out of them.
I was pleasantly surprised how well the pizza rose, as it was a last minute decision to make it. I left one end of the pizza as just cheese pizza for LG who doesn't like asparagus. There are 2 pieces of asparagus pizza left.
I can't think of anything else MSE that I did today.

Many moons ago I used one of the products from that range - I couldn't tell you it's 'actual' name (but it smelt nice!), but it wouldn't touch DH's workwear in terms of cleaning, so sadly, coupled with the refill shop closing down, I shifted to p3rs1l non-bio.
