Good Morning MFW'rs
Great to know that I'm around such a good gaggle of folk who would help out a fellow, like-minded MS-ing tourista to their town 😁 I usually get asked for directions in Greying Town, rather than for parking places. The layout is such that it would be more complicated to get someone back to the town centre from where they'd parked their car for free, than to the charging car parks. Last time I got asked 'where can we have lunch?' I was able to direct the couple to a rather more 'old fashioned' cafe which majored in meals (rather than coffee and cake), and wasn't astronomically priced. However, I noted at the start of the year, that that cafe had closed. I honestly don't know where I would direct someone now, unless they had a specific cuisine in mind.
I did end up purchasing food yesterday. I purchased some apples and bananas, a couple of storecupboard bits, some oven chips (because MrL actually had some in stock) and a loaf of bread. It came to £10.20 - I must amend my siggie figgie. I also bought some non-food stuff - soap/shampoo etc which came to £3.26, so will add that too. We are super low on cheese, but I don't know if I'll have chance to pop to MrS today. I've a routine scan booked for this morning and I'm going to get my gnashers checked out with LG this arvo.
I've set a wash on. And packed up snap.
Can't think of anything else to add MSE-wise at the mo, so I shall toddle off.

Always look for free parking and frequently look on T Advisor if in a new place and have a 'lunch spot' in mind - who wouldn't (shakes head at some and wanders off)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I cracked and I went to buy cheese 😬 I picked up several other things that were needed from hB at the same time. In total I spent £9.36. I did get YS'd wholemeal baps from hb, only 1/3rd discount, but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick and I did get 2 packets, so one pack has gone in the freezer.
I'm sure all you wonder people know that MrS are doing a side of salmon in their n*ctar Easter offers - the lady in front of me in the queue was buying one, and there was a conversation about how nice it looked etc. I wouldn't know, as I don't buy wet fish, but just in case anyone was pondering on Easter meal purchases for the fam. etc.
Burger baps and chips tonight for tea, as I'm not sure what time we will be in from the dentist. We will have to contend with rush hour traffic, or chose the scenic (v long) route home.
I'm off to update my siggie (again).

Good Morning MFW'rs
I MUST NOT spend any grocery money today! I'm going to try to get back into the rhythm of a Thursday shop, and we have sufficient of everything we need until tomorrow, at least.
I'm glad I had slated 'burgers and chips' for tea last night, as we didn't get home until late. We did come home the 'scenic' route. Crazy additional 'out of our way' mileage, but we moved constantly (until we got 300 yards away from the last roundabout from home 🙄), whereas had we come back the way we went, we would have travelled less than half the distance, but in as much - if not longer - time. Extensive roadworks and half-term for some do not good bed-fellows make ☹️ Even DH was late home last night.
I was fortunate to get a load of washing dry yesterday - including towels.
Snap is packed. Today's wash is on.
I must re-assess what 'ready' meals/components I still have and what ingredients I have as we're not yet a third of the way through the month, but for sure we're over a third thru the budget ☹️ I haven't seen anymore updates on Easter veg offers, other than the two discounters who have announced. But must bear those offers in mind. I heard a MrS advert yesterday (and had seen the lady with the salmon in the queue), but they seem to be focussing on meat/fish offers (forgive me if I missed a veggie option), although they are promoting a Vegetable Hasselback bake on their website in the Easter section - although the link to the recipe is broken when you click on it - so maybe they will offer some good prices on veg just now.
I can't think of anything else MSE at the mo. So will shuffle orf.

Morning Greying, I've been trying to catch up on your thread for a month now 😆 you're too popular and have far too many comments every time I read five pages ten more appear 😆.so I've skipped to the present I hope I didn't miss anything too important ♥️☀️
The weather is really starting to warm up here even in my north facing garden, so I hope you're enjoying nature's TD.
We've a tonne of roadworks too all round the city. And we live just on the outskirts so it's sometimes quicker to walk into the city than drive at the moment. I bet they're here all holiday too.

Good Morning MFW'rs
Another sunny start with us. Sunny and warm with us today, and sunny and even warmer tomorrow 😬 I like the sunshine, but don't like being out in it for extended periods, and even with factor 50, it doesn't take long for Fam Greying to resemble lobsters ☹️
I am going shopping today. I am going to have to weigh up if I can 'afford' to spend sufficient in MrS to gain additional points on my shop. There are a number of products that I just prefer to get from MrL, and if I'm not careful, I end up spending similar amounts in both shops, rather than getting my shopping done for an appropriate weekly amount. The points probably aren't worth it. I am currently a few pence away from £7, so could get to 3 x £2.50 vouchers by the month end. I have a minor purchase from Argoose yet to register it's points too.
I made greek-style casserole for tea last night. It uses (small) green lentils/orzo pasta and feta cheese. I didn't note where the recipe was from, but I do recall it was from an American blog, probably something in the order of 15 years ago 😬 I was thinking to myself how "rich" the internet used to be with very basic blogs, written by people who just wanted to write/share their lives, or share their way of living, rather than as monetised, glossy advertorials with sponsors and merch. There used to be a couple who lived in Brooklyn, NY, and they were saving their money to move to their first house, and they used to create meals for a dollar (I think), and used to show the receipt for their shop for the meal etc. They did buy their 'fixer upper' (out of the city), but ceased blogging (I think) around the same time. Quite a few of my frugal recipes are the result of reading such blogs, and I should have been more careful in noting sources - I did improve.
Snap is packed, but uniform is not set out and SPF has not been slathered on, so I best vamoose.
