Good morning .
im just wondering if anyone can tell me what the position is of an employer backdating part of the terms of a contract eg. Annual leave but not other parts of the same contract?
Is this allowed and if so is it common place?
Thanks in advance

How odd, I posted a reply but it didn’t go through….
basically we’ve recently had a new contract given to us that was due to be completed at the start of November, but due to circumstances beyond our control it happened a month later….
now in the original discussions we had roles outlined to us that some didn’t want and we were told of the benefits of increased leave and better sick pay benefits…..
The roles have been tweaked it seems and having been Ill during this period (quite seriously) I was happy when we were led to believe our benefits would be backdated as I’d be due to be paid on those terms.
Now I’ve been told that it was only the annual leave that will be backdated and my query is really whether an employer can pick and choose which parts of a contract to backdate or if it should be the contract as a whole?
I hope that clarifies the matter, thanks 😊0 -
