Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark not raining at the moment although loads of laying water after the heavy rain over the past few days. Forecast is for some drier weather over the coming days, we'll see! Air feels cooler too.
Dinner last night was the LO's of chicken and mushroom pies, with chips, mushy peas and gravy.
Loads to do today, so a busy but steady day.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, I love mushy peas!
Damp and breezy out this morning but at least it's Friday! Christmas lunch for the seniors today, I may join them but didn't much like the look of the turkey yesterday so I'll see if there's a veggie option.
Will be thinking of you today NRA, hope it goes as well as these things can.
Thanks for all the Christmas songs taff, cheers me up.
It'll be nice to have your eldest DGD nearer TA, hope there wasn't too much disruption.
Hope Steve got sorted out at A&E snoozer.
Are you back Nanny? I have visions of you wandering the hospital corridors all night!
Hope you're feeling better Ruby, I'm sure my last bout of Covid was from someone sitting next to me on the plane with a cough.
Goodness Gers, you don't have much luck with M&S do you?
Glad you have your heating sorted Rosy.
Hope everyone is well, happy Friday. Take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It feels a mildish start again here, long may it last. We are even promised more sunshine too.
SNOOZER I hope you weren't stuck in A & E for too long and Steve has been sorted out and prescribed quick healing meds, ((HUGS)) for NRA. Welcome to the warm house brigade ROSY. NAN I hope you found your way out unscathed yesterday. GERS grr to M & S, they seem to be losing the good reputation they once had.
I enjoyed my turkey-less festive carvery yesterday!! Unfortunately they were having problems with the turkey oven so only pork, gammon and beef were available. Despite no turkey it was still enjoyed and we managed to stuff down a pud as well. I chose rhubarb and apple crumble, which turned out to be plum and apple but that was fine. I think they were having one of those days in the kitchen! We vacated to the little bar with our wine afterwards and had a good old natter and catch up. So a good afternoon was had despite the hiccups.
DGD and her dad had been and gone in my absence with the garage piled up with all her bags and boxes - with still more to follow! Goodness knows what it all is.
After a week of gallivanting here, there and everywhere I am housebound today so the Friday Tidy beckons. As well as a laundry basket of washing to do. I would much prefer to be going out again!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all and be safe xx

The winds have been high all night here, leading to me not having my usual deep sleep. For about three minutes heavy rain battered the windows and then left.I'm up and at 'em early doors as I'm off to Glasgow soon. There's a couple of chores to do before the hour long panto with adult themes this afternoon. It's part of the 'play, pie and pint' series and always enjoyable. We're having a few wee drinks afterwards and then a meal. I'm staying overnight in a new hotel, only because it's at the top end of the city as I don't need to be where my usual one is.There's a bag to go to the CS, I prefer the one in Glasgow, and a couple of things to collect too.I hope that Steve and Snoozer are doing OK. Hugs to @NRA for today.10

Hi everyone,
Amazingly we were only at the hospital 2 hours in total and in that time he had x-ray and ecg and was prescribed a stronger antibiotic. He was also sent away with a sample bottle so that they can check that the tablets will work. Fingers crossed that it will get rid of it before Christmas.
However, with the journeys to and fro the whole day disappeared and all my plans with it so I need to get on today. I have written a list and if I get through it (doubtful) I shall be very happy.
Have a good day.11 -

Once in royal Davids city,
Stood a lowly cattle shed,
Where a mother laid her Baby,
In a manger for His bed:
Mary was that mother mild,
Jesus Christ, her little Child.
。❅*⋆⍋*∞*。*∞*⍋⋆*❅。Morning! The polumber turned up and we have five new radiators on the walls, todays job is to connect them all and re route some hideous pipework under the floor boards. When that's done, it means we can get on with the electrics for two bedrooms and we will have two finished rooms hopefully before autumn next year. They will obviously all have to come off again when the plastering is done but that shouldn't be such a big job. He's due in about ten minutes so forgive me if I up and away..Snoozer, good news about Steve, hope the new antis work faster. nanny, wasn't the Heath was it? That place is an honest to goodness maze. camelot, fingers crossed for nice turkey today..Gers, enjoy the panto! sounds fab. NRA, hope it al goes smoothly. Take care today folks...

Morning all
Dry here and the sun is meant to make an appearance which will be nice, I am off to get my nails done this morning then home for a bit of lunch and then out for electrolysis I can only find one hair now but she may find others with her magnifying lamp !
My covid test was negative but I feel I have something coming, still got a sore throat and a croaky voice but I don’t feel too bad.
Dinner tonight will be some breaded chicken with chips and coleslaw, dd is working a late shift so will eat at work.
I will try and get my tree this afternoon so that I can decorate over the weekend, we have a load of logs coming tomorrow but OH can get them in 😬
NRA hope today goes as well as it can xx
Camelot I hope the turkey is decent nothing worse than unpleasant looking meat 🤢
Gers enjoy the panto xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning all, I made it back ! The parking was horrendous and I had to go in by myself, however the staff were great and the dept was quiet, only 2 people in front of me, but now starts the waiting for the dreaded results.
Today I have a GP appointment, but it's via the phone so I have no need to go out, I'm glad as it's another damp dark day. I'll strip the bed and throw the duster around while I wait then I'll re-make it later. I don't know if anything else will be done today but I really should be wrapping the DGC's pressies, they don't have many but they cost an arm and a leg ! No idea what to have for tea tonight so I'll have to look in the freezer, there's plenty in there.
NRA hugs for today
Scarlet I hope you're either well on your way or have already arrived safely. Enjoy !
Snoozer how scary for you and Steve, hope the stronger anti b's work.
taff no it was the RGH !
Bella are you away or just busy ? Hope you are ok.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones and MIA's

Thought I'd posted earlier but obviously not!
Unfortunately DH has tested positive for Covid here so that has scuppered a few plans. I'm still negative but wouldn't be surprised if it came my way. In the meantime I shall go and get some milk etc just in case.
We've had to postpone my pre birthday meal, which was going to be tomorrow, but DS might still drive up as we have his sister's Christmas present from him sitting in our garage and he needs to wrap it and decide where to leave it. It's a wheelbarrow, in case you were wondering! It will be going up to the stables at some point to be used for mucking out.
I made some lovely Tiffin for a dancing get together last night but then didn't feel I could go, in case I passed anything on. We now have everlasting Tiffin sitting in the fridge waiting to be eaten!
Hope everyone else stays well.9 -

Afternoon everyone, I'm last today. I was out the house early this morning as I went to little ones family assembly with DD. Once they move she won't be driving past the end of my road anymore so I thought I'd go down today - little one had a star of the week award for being interested in posting letters when she posted her Christmas cards into the box at school - who knows what she had been saying! They sang one of the songs from the nativity and we were trying not to laugh as she was singing so loudly - she certainly made herself heard amongst the older children.
Then DD dropped me at mam and dads so I could do dads banking and have a cuppa. Then work at lunchtime - I'm shattered now, I'll be having an early night. Only one week left at school though.
DD and little one are moving on Wednesday so they're very excited. She'll get the keys on Monday - weirdly without having to meet anyone at the house, it's all done over the phone and when she's paid the rent they will give her the number for a key safe at the front door.
Right going to get my dishes washed and then have a nice bath x6
