Admiral late payment- effect credit??

Missed a payment with Admiral due to insufficient funds (stupid me I know). They took the payment out a few days later on their second try but I will have to pay a late fee next month.
Will this put a mark on my credit file? I phoned up and the man on the phone said it won’t but he didn’t really sound like he knew what he was on about. So I thought I would come on here to see if anyone has first-hand experience. Thanks.

Have a look at your file and see if Admiral are there or not, if they aren't then they won't be showing a mark,
Most direct insurers self finance premiums by instalment and tend not to report to CRAs. Many brokers use proper finance houses for premiums and they do tend to report (as they are also stricter with non-payment etc)1
