Morning All
I think you've nailed it this morning Gers!
Damp and dreary this morning, yesterday saw some epic rain, I was soaked when I came in from the shops.
Christmas tree up, the little one hindered helped but it doesn't look too bad. She had more fun with a bottle tube wrapper than anything else! Risotto was for tea as usual but she was slightly unlucky - I used veg from the allotment that has been in the freezer and there was a caterpillar in her brocolli! Even better as they are vegan. At least she didn't eat it! All the brocolli has now been put in the food waste bin, I'll not be growing that again.
I only have a couple of things to buy and wrap now, everything else is wrapped waiting for deliveries. This morning I've made some more ice pack covers for school, the ones we have are either ripped or too dirty looking to use.
Hope everyone is well and you have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX8 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Well after a long string of sleepless nights I actually slept last night and didn't wake up until 7.40!!! That, for me, is a record! But now I feel all behind myself and have only just finished my breakfast! I can't win!!
When I first got up the sky was beautiful, almost totally red. But it didn't last long and now we are back to the usual cloud and mizzle. But at least the horrendous gale force winds have moved on. I felt so unsettled all day yesterday with them battering us up here and waiting for some damage to happen. Fortunately it didn't!!
I was going to do a bit of a roast for lunch but as I am now behind myself I think I will just get some fish out and have with some airfried wedges. A nice lazy lunch. I am going to change the bedding next job but sadly it will be festooning the upstairs to dry, with the dehumidifier doing it's job.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones or sad. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all, another late riser, nearly 10.30am, must have needed the sleep ! I'm glad the wind has died down but now it's very dark and wet again.
I cleared things away yesterday from the downstairs and did 2 loads in the wm so today it's rinse and repeat as there is still a load to do and the dumping ground office is now full of things that don't belong there. I will get going in a minute but we started watching old programmes of some chef cooking xmas food mmmmm !
Right another hot drink then I'll start, promise 😬
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones and the MIA's.
nan xx

We're walking in the air
We're floating in the moonlit sky
The people far below are sleeping as we fly
I'm holding very tight
I'm riding in the midnight blue
I'm finding I can fly so high above with you

Thanks for the ditty Taff. It's very dull, dark and wet outside.Nothing to make me want to go outside. I had planned to make a Basque cheesecake but that's on hold until I do go out as I need cream cheese for it.I've been sorting out the guddle on the utility room worktop, it seems to have attracted a load of old tat, stuff which belongs somewhere else or things which I still need but haven't got a home for. It certainly looks much better now, I hate guddle. Also, I poured out some horrible tasting box red wine which has been loitering on the worktop, simply inertia on my part. The wine went down the loo which then needed to be scrubbed.
Making work for myself!
After that I re-watched Dr Who as I was seriously creeped out last night and had to turn the audio off. I've got Strictly to watch, I like to whizz past all the chat and 'journeys' to focus on the dances. Now I've got lunch to make, more liver but this time with some tasty Ratte potatoes and then I'm going to watch Miracle on 34th Street, one of my favourites.
