Good morning, it's not a bad morning here. Yesterday was so dark and dreary, I Hope today will be better.
DS and family coming over this afternoon, their Christmas presents are ready, well it's money this year, but they can buy themselves somrthing.
I'll go out this morning for a few things, just to our High street.
Yesterday we weighed our cases again, they're ok. That packing was coming between me and my wits! I'm not taking loads and loads anyway, if I need something I'll buy it.

Morning All

Thanks for the start nmlc, enjoy your family visit.

It's dry for now but is due to rain all day, wish we had the cold and frosty days back! WM doing it's thing, one bathroom cleaned, the other will get done in a minute. Kitchen undergoing a good clean and I'll start on the living room later as I want to try and get a tree this morning.

Optician was fine, I could have got slightly different lenses but he said I was ok as I was if I was happy - definitely, I'm not paying for new glasses if I don't need to. I only need them for reading and computer work and can buy the ready readers as I tend to lose/break/sit on them!

Shopping to do and DD and the little one visiting this afternoon, they will probably stay for dinner too.

Hello all, we had  heavy rain all last night but it's stopped, for now anyway.
We called into DD's after I gave the vampire nurse yet more blood but only stayed for a cuppa as she wasn't very well. 
I went to bed early last night as I was shattered but then I was awake early this morning, can't win can I? Today will be a day of tidying and putting stuff away with some washing to be done too. Tea tonight will be a burger in a bun with some extra salad for me.

Not sure which thread to comment on so chose the top one.  Sorry @Gers ;-)

Just put a gingercake in the oven.  Not made this one for a long time so will make a nice change.

Must collect the towels and put them in for a wash and then we are putting the Christmas decs up.  Probably won't have time or the inclination next weekend as it's my DS 40th birthday and we are having a surprise party for him so cupcake decorating and doing whatever I'll be volunteered for food wise!

Morning everyone
It's a dry morning here but more heavy rain forecast for later. DD will be bringing little one up later and she'll stay tonight - we're going to have a day doing Christmas crafts and we'll bake some gingerbread men - she'll love doing that. I have a nativity set for us to colour in, the book folds out to make a stable.
Eldest DD has just been texting, she's on a train to Cologne to stay with a friend - she never sits still! Apparently she's booked into a circus school at Edinburgh so she can do pole dancing when she's home for Christmas - now that's a sentence you wouldn't expect to write!
I've going to get some jobs done before little one appears. DD still hasn't got a date when she can go and look at the new house - she's getting fed up now.

Morning folks. I am a latecomer this morning. I was going to catch the first bus down town before the rain arrived, but the rain arrived as I was getting ready so I abandoned the idea. Instead I am messing about time wasting.

Well I did manage a few jobs before the time wasting set in!  I emptied the dw and then sorted out the dry stock cupboard. Some flour on the verge of expiry so I have left it out and plan on making a batch of pastry to put in the freezer (ready for mince pie making) and then got a fancy for some ginger biscuits so that's a couple of jobs for this afternoon. I am still using the Be-ro recipe for the ginger snaps from my recipe book circa 1970!  It's looking a bit dog-eared these days and showing its age (a bit like me!)

I have been updating my Ocado order booked for midweek and it's a good job I have. Lots of stuff has been taken off my original order as now out of stock! So replacements and more stuff added and I will check it again before the editing deadline.

We’re has today gone I’ve just sat down shepherds pies and a big pan of soup made been shopping done housework Two  of my sons have been with the grandchildren and wives I’ve walked the dog popped into the charity shop to drop some stuff off and it’s poured down all day I’m going to have a cuppa to revive me then decide what to do next why don’t work days go this fast .
