Looking online, I see that you get a grant of up to 7.5K for a heat pump, yet I'm not sure if that's just for a heat pump itself, or also say if it covers any piping, tank or radiator upgrades too?
My initial plan was:
- Super insulate where possible
- To have larger pipes given they're microbore
- To replace my radiators with Jaga Strada ones
Then get a heat pump, but I'm not entirely sure if the heat pump grant JUST covers the heat pump itself or the stuff that makes it work well too?

It's on the whole installation, which must be done by an MCS installer. You'd have to do your own insulation, though.1

Yep, I've recently had a chat with MCS installer and they said they would only consider talking with me further if I've made all the required (reasonable) improvements in my EPC rating:

Once they're happy with it, they would quote me for the entire job - heat pump + underfloor heating, which the grant should cover.
Also worth noting that if you have mortgage with Barclays, you can get another £2k for the heat pump:

If your income is below £31k and your EPC is poor, you may qualify for an ECO4 grant. You may need to be in receipt of benefits, although where I live they have relaxed it to just income.0

That's not half bad then tbf. I could get the pipes down separately because that's an easy 4K and then get the fancy radiators I want + a heat pump on a grantNetexporter said:It's on the whole installation, which must be done by an MCS installer. You'd have to do your own insulation, though.0 -
Unfortunately I don't qualify on both groundsNetexporter said:If your income is below £31k and your EPC is poor, you may qualify for an ECO4 grant. You may need to be in receipt of benefits, although where I live they have relaxed it to just income.0 -
I aim to super insulate above and beyond beyond beyond what my EPC says. Well if you have a decent income and a reasonably well-insulated house, it's not that unfortunate.waqasahmed said:

Yeah, silver linings. I'm certainly in a more fortunate position than a lot of peopleReed_Richards said:
